ART is everywhere and most importantly in the nature around us. Painting with Watercolors is one of my greatest delights and has now become an addiction too. It is a way for me to visually express my creativity within an environment of great Tranquility.

Inspired by the Impressionist, I see things as an impressions of colors. I love to be expressive with my bold strokes and my colorful palette. I love to paint in watercolors as I get less time to paint and they are spontaneous and gave me the liberty to paint daily.

My Art is also a declaration of my deep connection with nature, with light, with God. I am studying Nature in my studio as well as doing Plein air nature studies. I paint flowers as they inspire me to be always happy in any circumstance and they will smile forever through my works.

Painting does not mean that you are filling the drawing with colors. A child fill colors in her drawing but an artist goes with the flow. You just have to plan it in your head and simultaneously your brush should go with the flow and this will come with constant practice.

I find an ultimate bliss while painting and for me art is just like Meditation.

Amit Kapoor was born in 1975.

Mr. Amit kapoor is a leading master of watercolor medium in India. He is a Vice President of International Watercolor Society (IWS), Founder of Watercolour Society of India.

He did his Bachelor’s in Arts in 1998 & Masters in 2004.

He has been recognized with top international honors for his paintings like Silver Star Award from NWS, USA and his art graces the walls of many private and corporate collectors.

He is in constant demand for solo exhibitions, workshops and instruction.

His art captures the very soul of his subjects with passion. His exceptional drawing skills and extra ordinary abilities in art makes him proficient in any medium. His subjects include lot of compositional works where lovely play of light and shadow and prespectives are the main traits. He is also the co founder and Principal of Anitoons The School Of Art And Animation.

He is a guest lecturer in many prestigious Art colleges like College of Art, Delhi, Apeejay Institute of Design, Jamia Millia Islamia (Mass Communication department), Meerabai Institute of technology.

He was also in the jury Panel of Jamia Millia Islamia (Mass Communication department), in the jury panel of Jaipur Animation Film Festival (JAFF).

He has been interviewed by several influential media and magazines and he has high reputation for professional production and inspired leadership.

In 2013 he launched his first book in watercolor medium “Amit kapoor LANDSCAPES IN WATERCOLOR."

He is also a Curator of International Watercolor Society India Biennale, India.
