Short biography:

Mike Kowalski 1959 - The kitchen table of my childhood was littered with drawings, paintings, crayons and glue.

That boyhood activity lead to a career as an Illustrator and artist. I have been painting with watercolors and oils for over 40 years. I consider myself self taught in both mediums and find it very beneficial to be able to paint in two mediums.

My favorite studio is the outdoors. It is where I do my best work. Competing in plein air events across the United States over the past 6 years has given me valuable experience in capturing a sense of place and time.

You will find me sketching or painting daily.

My recent move to Australia has opened up an entirely new continent to me and I find it quite exciting to live and paint in a completely different enviornme nt. I visit the USA each year and enjoy painting with old friends as well as making new ones wherever I travel.
